Structural Drying & Mould Remediation Job in Adelaide

Josh Graham from Advanced Cleaning & Restoration, SA was called to attend a flooded property in Adelaide. Josh initially arrived at the property one month after the initial water event in which the home had water running for at least six days due to a burst pipe. At the property, the kitchen cupboards and benchtop was removed due to mould contamination. However, Josh had to dry the framework.For this job, Josh is using a Desiccant dehumidifier {Desiccants offer sophisticated technology that uses chemical attraction instead of condensation to extract water. So optimal dew point temperatures do not limit their performance. Used correctly, they produce the driest air (lowest GPP) of any dehumidifier and are capable of most closely approximating desert-like drying conditions.}, an air scrubber {An air scrubber is a portable filtration system that removes particles, gases, and/or chemicals from the air within a given area. These machines draw air in from the surrounding environment and pass it through a series of filters to remove contaminants. } and Drymatic II { The equipment cycle between two methods (Recirculation mode, wherein the area is continuously heated up until temperature or humidity limit reached, and Exhaust mode, exchanging the warm, humid air with warm, dry replenishment air.) to maximise the amount of water removed from the area.}

Josh sectioned off the affected areas with some small drying chambers using plastic sheeting. This was used to pull out dry air from the desiccated chamber into the Drymatic IIand then pumping the heat using air exchangers into the other panels. This method was done for drying the walls for cupboard where the vanity was behind the bathroom exhausting both the desiccant and the Drymatic II into an air scrubber exiting the building. Multiple processes for drying were used, and the result was outstanding.
